Group Maternity Benefit Endorsement. ........This Endorsement is attached to and forms a part of the Group Hospital & Surgical Supplementary Contract in order to provide an additional and/or extended benefit of maternity. Coverage            This benefit coverage is provided for a married insured member or an insured member's spouse who is pregnant after her insurance inception date. Benefits            AIA shall reimburse for the actual expenses incurred by an insured member or spouse during her confinement in hospital for the reason of maternity including infant's charges for the first seven days provided that all the total expenses per any one pregnancy will not exceed the maximum benefit stated under the Benefit Levels in the Schedule of this Endorsement. The maximum benefit payable as shown in the illustrated Benefit Levels below here shall include all the expenses of hospitalization during the pre-natal and post-natal period (limited to 14 days after delivery) - Normal Delivery 100% of max. benefit - Miscarriage or Abortion 50% of max. benefit - Childbirth involving Caesarean Section or Abdominal operation   for extra-uterine pregnancy 150% of max. benefit Exclusions            AIA shall not pay for any benefit of the above unless the pregnancy commences after the insurance inception of such insured member or spouse.
